NTC thermistor is a ceramic semiconductor thermal crystal sintered from various metal oxides mainly manganese, cobalt and nickel. It is extremely sensitive to temperature changes. Its zero-power resistance varies with the body temperature. As the temperature increases, the resistance value decreases exponentially, and the temperature coefficient is as high as (3~6%/℃). A small temperature change will cause a large resistance value change. According to the R-T resistance temperature curve of the thermistor, the precise resistance value of each temperature point can be measured. In the circuit, the temperature can be digitally corresponded through the resistance value for temperature measurement and control.AMPFORT thermistors have low thermal time constants which result in extremely high rates of resistance change to accurately track the temperature.
